More AMLs!
The Panhard AML (Auto Mitrailleuse Légère, or "Light Gun Car") is a fast, long-ranged, and relatively cheap first-generation armoured car with excellent reconnaissance capability. It was a huge export success very popular with African and Middle Eastern armies.
Many variants of the AML were produced. They differed manily in armament, ranging from medium and heavy machine guns to 90mm cannons. Early AMLs were equipped with a 60mm Brandt gun-mortar and medium machine guns. Later a 90mm version was created, the AML-90, and was regarded as one of the most heavily armed scout vehicles in service.
Iraq and many other Arab armies began to purchase AMLs in the 1960's and 70's. Iraqi and Saudia Arabian AMLs were used to fight against Israel during the Yom Kippur War on the Syrian front. They inflicted damage to the Israeli forces but also suffered heavy losses in the process. We show here 3 verisions of Iraqi Army AMLs that were used on the Syrian front during 1973.
Illness and his brother Gizoo worked on the AML-90 model. And Illness88 did an awesome job with the models and textures for the Iraqi AMLs.
