Armored Command Vehicles

Here we share with you our new armored command vehicle (ACV) for the IDF which includes a command version of the M-113 combined with a command tent. The Project Reality mod came up with this idea and has shared it with us. The ACV will replace the air control towers from the vanilla BF2 game that are present at your base area. The ACV's will give the commander all of the assets from BF2 plus maybe a few more.

We are also working on an ACV for the Arab armies. These new ACV's will give our maps a more realistic feel and we are really excited to add them.

Along with the new Armored Command Vehicles we are also adding new radar for both sides. These new radars will be more like the radar systems that both sides used during the war and will replace the generic radar we currently have on our maps from BF2. The radar will also be located with the SAM batteries to give it a more realistic look on our maps.

This is the MPQ-55 radar system that often accompanied the HAWK SAM batteries. Both the radar and the HAWK missiles were supplied by the US starting in 1965. The HAWK missiles were successfully used during the Six Day War, War of Attrition and Yom Kippur War. The IDF also had a self propelled version mounted to the back of a modified M548 tracked vehicle which we are also working on.
